Training for relatives and friends of Askham residents
AVC Training in partnership with Askham Village Community has conducted a pilot – providing training for relatives and friends of Askham residents. This pilot was completely sucessful and we are so glad so share this news with you! Please see below our participants and some of their feedback following our pilot. The course content was Moving and Handling.
I really enjoyed the course and found it to be most informative, friendly and hands on. Michelle’s demonstrations on moving, handling and hoisting were excellent. We all took turns in using equipment as well as moving and lifting each other. Michelle was very patient and answered many questions as each students needs were for different mobility issues. Well done Askham!! Please inform me of any future courses.
Very useful training session that I would recommend to all the family members looking after loved ones. Would also consider further courses on first aid in relation to caring.
