Why?

According to the HSE manual handling accounts for over a third of all workplace injuries, affecting over 1 million people a year and costing society £5.7 billion.

This course will benefit learners through developing their understanding of the principles of manual handling, providing them with the opportunity to practice and apply the principles of safer manual handling so they are able to operate in a safer environment.

How?

The course is taught over 6 hours and includes a mixture of individual, group, theory and practical lessons including appropriate training aids.  The course includes 3 practical assessments and a theory assessment (multiple choice and short answer question paper).  Some individual study time outside of the course is recommended.
