Why?

Fires in the workplace can have massive effects on both individuals and businesses. A serious fire can result in a company closing for good and the cost to individuals can be far greater.  Being aware of hazards and understanding some basic principles can reduce the risk of fire and make workplaces safer for everyone.

This course will develop the fire safety awareness of learners ensuring they keep themselves and others they work with safe at all times.  This training helps to fulfil an employer’s legal duty to train all their staff in fire safety.

How?

The course is taught over 3 hours and includes a mixture of individual, group, theory and practical lessons including appropriate training aids.  The course includes a theory assessment (multiple choice question paper).  Some individual study time outside of the course is recommended.
